My friend is moving so I got this piece for 200 bones. It has a few problems. Its missing the ejector rod and the extractor. So it doesnt cycle. I am hoping this will be somewhat of an easy fix. I just emailed keith so well see what he says. Also the grip is starting to crack, but checkin out the grips at LB's I probably would have replaced it anyways.  I do like gun projects as I just finished cleaning up my dads shotty (now mine)which he neglected in storage for years. Let me know what you guys think.

Info: Dan Wesson Arms Monson Mass. USA 44B0013**

.44 Magnum CTG.

Welcome to the forum, we like projects here. Looks to me like your .44 might have to go to Keith at Dan Wesson to have an extractor fitted and timed. Definitely a gun worth getting fixed up right though. Keep us posted with pics, we like....gun porn!

Welcome to the forum.  All it needs is a little TLC and you'll have a nice Dan!  Keith should be able to help you out on the parts you need.  I would image you'll need to send it in for them to fit the parts though.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

welcome to the dwf-sign.

Others seem to have covered all of the issues, so that is all I have to say.

Welcome, you got a good deal there, even if it does need to go back to DW for some repairs. While it's there, I'd have new springs put in, or buy a spring kit to be shipped back with the gun and do it yourself.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Congrats on your Dan and welcome.  As others have said, the extractor is a fitted part.  A good smith like Keith will save you time.  Let us know how it shoots when you get it running again.
