Hi,
I have just bought a DW 357 Mag Gold Series and I really like it! This is my first DW.
I live in Norway and Ido have problems getting parts for it over here. The screw for adjusting the rearsight sideways is broken in two, so I need a new one, or the whole rearsight if I have to. Anybody know the partnumber for the sight or the screw and where to order it? I have tried to find it but no luck so far(I have a friend in AZ who can order the parts and send it to me).
I am also wondering what this model is called(mod15?) Adding a pic of my gun Serienr B005518 all info about the gun will be great.
Really appreciate any help!
Thank you!
Einar.

to Einar !
Yes, the model is 15-2 and the Gold Series is a beautiful example. One of our outstanding members 'snake-eye' has a bunch of parts, so check out his thread in the For Sale section.
Your barrel shroud is an interesting configuration; 6-inch Vented rib, Heavy underlug and Slotted with solid Silhouette front sight blade.

No worries, I lived overseas for many years and appreciate the difficulty of getting parts. Here is the link to 'snake-eyes' thread .. scroll down to Post #9. Some will suggest just replacing the entire rear sight, rather than fiddling with the springs and components.

You have a couple options here - 1) A Ruger Blackhawk sight should mount up to your gun - you might be able to find a Ruger sight more readily in Norway. 2) I believe the US export license exemption for gun parts is $100 wholesale price, so your friend should be able to purchase a new DW sight for you and export it without requiring a license and you would need to make sure you are clear on the import side in Norway. If you were to go this route, please verify this.
The Gold Series is extremely uncommon. Most were exported to Europe I have read. Interestingly, some have a gold plated trigger and some have a high polish blue trigger. The rear sight has a triangle that the apex lines up with the red dot on the front sight. If that is what you have, I would repair the original or use the part on another sight. I think either Snake - eye or I would have the screw you need. Pictures PMed to Snake-eye could be sent to me and we could fix you up. I can look at my Gold Series also for conformation. If all else fails I will cut loose a hoarded replacement rear sight. Just be patient as I am a notorious procrastinator. It is a reaction from a career as a restaurateur where every second at work is choreographed. Be careful not to let the cylinder close while ejecting cases. It will scratch the sideplate. It may already be scratched but no sense making it worse. The Gold Series polish rivals a Colt Python it was meant to compete with.
