ofcford, to the . Glad you got the binding straightened out. To lower point of impact(other than aiming lower) Try hotter ammo and or a taller front sight. Does your model 14 have interchangeable front sights or pinned in. Both can be changed just one is a lot easier. Theres a lot of great folks here and I am sure others will be along shortly with more and better info. good luck.

I agree, try some hotter ammo, and/or lighter weight bullets. The idea is that if the bullet leaves the barrel faster (spends less time travelling down the barrel), that the trajectory will be less affected by barrel rise during recoil. Does that make any sense? How long is your barrel?
I'm glad you didn't throw it away, that would have been a real shame.
