Hello! I'm a new forum member from middle Tennessee. I joined because I am very interested in the .357 Model 715 revolver, and in particular, want to add a pristine 3 or 4 barrel set to my stable. I'm thinking about trying to find a CZ made variant, stainless (obviously, I guess?). Are they considered a good example of the gun? Any problems apparent in the CZs, more so then the other generations?
Thanks for having me!

Please be careful. There is an online site that is fake selling brand new CZ 715 guns. CZ no longer sells new CZ Revolvers new. The last time you could buy a CZ 715 from CZ was 2017. The only place you can buy a CZ 715 is on the secondary market (Gunbroker, Guns International, ect) Here is a pic of the warning on CZ's real site and a pic of my 715 pac with the added 2.5 inch barrel. The CZ original pac only came with 3 barrels a 8, 6, 4 inch for $1800 and you could buy the 2.5 for an extra $190, You can still buy all 4 sizes of the barrel from CZ so if you find a good deal on a CZ gun without the extra barrels you can buy them from CZ (make sure you buy the new shroud when ordering) Good luck!

Thanks for the advice and the welcome! Yep, I've seen that site that is a total scam, and others, seems they crop up wherever there is any kind of high profit scarcity to be desired. I was figuring either GB or a gun show. And YES, '445, a set like that is JUST what I'm looking for! I'm even considering trading my older Lew Horton Model 29 for a set, something that has escaped the chopping block for a long time despite only being handled, wiped down and put back in the safe for many years. My .44 needs are covered otherwise with an older Ruger carbine and 4" and 6" 629s.

CZ only made stainless steel guns. Before CZ the same location (Norwich) put out all types under Bob Serva (he took over Dan Wesson from Dan's grandsons in 1996 and the Palmer factory and moved it to Norwich and put in all new CNC computer machinery. I believe they were the best Dan Wesson's ever as far as tolerances go. They are beautiful guns made on new laser cut and CNC computer machines. This was a big upgrade from the older Palmer and Monsun machinery. A CZ gun is one of the best revolvers made! There are other members that are much more knowledgeable than me so if i'm wrong about any of this info please chim in!

What he said but there is nothing wrong with older Dans. You need to buy all the models from all the factories and then buy backups of each 🤣
Okay, well, maybe it's been nearly a year, but I have scratched a serious Dan Wesson itch! I had to do some swapping (a 1958 Ruger Blackhawk Flat Top & a 1963 Remington XP-100 for this and some boot?)
And so, it begins...
