Hey everyone I'm Brad. Just picked up my first DW, and first revolver as a matter of fact. I traded an AR pistol for this on armslist. Don't know much about the year it was made but from what I can tell it was a fair trade. My AR was valued around 500 parts wise.

Very nice intro and dwf-welcome to dwf

Sounds like you made a great deal, which is what we call gtdw !

Your Model 44 appears to be sporting an EWK 6" Vented Heavy barrel assembly .. FUN !!!

Welcome to the forum! You'll love shooting your 44. I like the 6VH barrel assembly the best on the 44 for general shooting at the range. It is a heavy gun and really tames the recoil of the magnum cartridge. Enjoy.

Your gun was probably made in 1983-84, and I think you got a good deal.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

DW 44's are great at carving pumpkins, aren't they?big-grin

Store bought ammo is pretty expensive, but if you reload (assuming you don't already), it gets a whole lot cheaper.

Yeah it carved them up pretty good. I am not reloading yet. However I am saving the brass for the future. .50 cents a round sure does get expensive.

And thanks!
