Hi all,

Just dropping a new member post and had a few questions. Purchased a 32 H&R Mag CTG and was curious about age and overall value. Picked it up for $425 and is pristine from private collector estate sale. I'll pick it up today and drop some photos in appropriate area of forum. Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the Forum. I will give you 50$ more for the gun. Lol. Just kidding. You committed GTDW. Grand Theft Dan Wesson. A blue gun will go for 3 or 4 times your purchase price depending on condition, box and tool. The model is 32 H&R MAG. The CTG is the cartridge it shoots. Silly rule that the cartridge has to be on a gun. A stainless gun is a 732. 7 denotes stainless on all DW Revolvers.

It is a wonderful cartridge in my opinion. The ammo and the guns chambered in them sell for a premium because not many were made. I especially like S&W airweights chambered in 32 mag. 6 Rounds instead of 5 for a 38 Special. Less recoil than 38 Special. It is also a very accurate round.

Congratulations on an awesome purchase and welcome to an ever more awesome forum. It seems that DW owners have a special love for these fine guns. I started with one and I contacted the nearly bankrupting disease known as dwas, or Dan Wesson Aquisition Syndrome. I refuse to "admit" to the number I own, but my wife just shakes her head and smiles when I find another one I want.  And NO, she will not fund any of my purchases. cry

Enjoy the Forum and shooting your new acquisition.

Thanks for the welcoming and the info all. I would have never figured the 732 out Ole Dog. Great resource for all things DW. I'm sure I'll be reading for some time on here.

Haha DA 64. I got to get it first. The FFL that handled the auction was just slammed with hundreds of transfers from the auction. They called today and asked if I had the "multi caliber" kit? I think they probably  meant the "pistol pac" but no where in the auction listings nor during any of the DW's being bid on did they state that there was anything that went with them like a box, tool etc. So I might have made out even better. I'll know tomorrow. Even without anything else the gun alone was truly in brand new condition. I'll get photos for you all tomorrow.

That's even better than I did back in 2011 with a $503 bid!  Auction prices are running $1200-$1500.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Alright. Not the Pistol Pack but original box, docs, tool, feeler gauge. I didn't even know any of this was included at auction so better than I imagined.PXL_20230717_182125890.jpgImage Enlarger

Crazy! How do you pick up a gun that nice, rare and in the original box for $425? Those prices are from the 1990's  We all should get so lucky! I'm no expert but I would think that's a $1500 plus gun! I will pay $700 over your purchase price!

I was just kidding about paying you 50$ more. That  is one of the all time GTDW deals. The only thing better is a gift.
