I first became familiar with DWA in the late 1970's when I was a young man interested in target shooting. Subsequently, I carried a Dan Wesson .44 mag revolver during the mid 1980's as a fishing/hunting backup when I lived in Alaska - unfortunately that handgun was left behind when we moved back to the lower 48.
The realities of raising a family in the Chicago area pretty much eliminated my ability to indulge in the shooting sports until my kids grew up.
Now my son, who just graduated from Northwestern University as an Environmental Engineer, has become very interested in target shooting and reloading. He has never had the opportunity to experience the inherent accuracy of the Dan Wesson revolver so we just purchased two of 'em (both 15-2s with four barrels total) on Gunbroker.com and are waiting for them to arrive - I'm sure we will have a lot of questions that we will present to the Forum community!

Sorry Mike,
As soon as the kids finished high school, we high-tailed it to northern Arizona - I've been to Maxon's though, as I have a friend who lives in Des Plaines...

Outstanding! When my wife retires we're either going to Wyoming (my preference) or North Carolina (hers). Can't wait to get away from this bastion of liberalism.
It's my home and I will miss it, but I can't deal with the traffic any more.
You'd like Maxon's new place; bright, modern, clean and 20 shooting positions.
Enjoy AZ! And don't forget to post pics of those new Dan's.
