Hi everyone,

I happened across this website doing research on my Dan Wesson, I've been thinking about selling it and I was trying to figure out what its worth. DWF is very informative and now I'm not so sure I want to be seperated from it. Its a 44 magnum with an eight inch barrel made in Monson MA. the serial number is less than 003800. I've owned it for too many years to count and always enjoyed shooting it, I just haven't had the opportunity for a long time so this is where I'm at...

Have a good day!

Welcome to theDWF Sign You know...some of these guys are gonna be bummed that they can't hit you with the 'ol "worthless without pics" smiley. It's usually a rutual to use that on the new guys...LOLlol2   So I'll say thanks for theCool Pics

I hope you don't sell it & instead choose to take it out with a box of ammo & rekindle the DW flame. Then maybe before long, you'll want to buy it a little brother (.357) or something similar.Laugh  However, if you do decide to sell, I'm sure that some of us here can help you out. It looks like a great looking gun from here.

Thanks Charger Fan,

I caught on fast with the "worthless without pics" as I was touring the site earlier, I hope I didn't wreck too much fun for the guys, I may be getting older but I still learn quick! https://www.danwessonforum.com/wp-content/forum-resources/forum-smileys/', 'lol2', '1');" src="/wp-content/forum-resources/forum-smileys/lol.gif" alt="lol2" />

As you can imagine,

Welcome That is a nice Dan Wesson...a treasure I would keep. There are a couple of my guns I haven't shot in awhile, but knowing they are always there is good. They will also get shot again, as I can't bear to sell them or just keep them in the safe without any use. Hope you get the urge to add a few more Dan Wessons.

Ill add my Welcome and just say Cool Pics.  If you do decide to sell, take her out and burn some powder and then see if you still want to let her go. GoodLuck

I'm thinking that the conventional wisdom is that it should stay in a good (your) home. My DW 15-2 was my first ever firearm over 30 years ago. I sold off everything else at one point in time and got out of shooting, but kept the Dan, just because...

I'm back into shooting and very happy that that first one is still in the family.

Welcome DWF

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to the forum--- you know the minute you sell it, you'll wish you had it backLaugh.  Shoot it and enjoy it, and then go buy it another DW family member to hang out with (DW's get lonely by themselves laughing)

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay with us.  I hope you'll keep the 44 and I'll bet that if you go out and shoot it, DWAS will strike and you'll become as nutz as the rest of us.Smile

OK I give up!

I'm keeping it and thinking about looking for a twin in .357. I guess we can't own enough guns especially Dan Wessons from what I found out here!

Thanks for the support!

Hi All,

It’s been awhile but I thought I’d give an update.. I didn’t sell it, instead I added to my collection. Now I have the 44 plus a .357 and a .22. I couldn’t be happier! 😊
