Hey guys!
just picked up my first Dan Wesson Arms, found an older .357mag locally that just caught my eye and the price seemed right. Only came with the 2.5" barrel so will be looking for the 4, 6 and 8" if they are possible to find. Also probably going to need some help identifying the model. it doesn't appear to be marked. Found this forum while searching for a SN lookup.
I'll try not to bug you all too much.
Kevin.

Welcome to DWF!
A 15-2 with s/n 2506xx is a 1979 gun. A 15-2 will be a blued adjustable rear sight .357 Magnum
Go ahead and "bug" us a lot
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

great thanks again!
so, unfortunately I don't have a lot of knowledge on these, given the limited info and pics, what would you say this one is worth? Just the pistol and a decnet holster.
Also, can i still get barrels for this? I do see them on the CZ/Dan Wesson sight but didn't see any model specifics on those.

I dont think the 14-2 barrels come up as often as 15-2 but occasionally you can ge them. The the Norwich barrels I think should fit but if they dont have a fixed front sight i think you might have a little more trouble to hit with them. My 2 cents anyway.

You can find barrel assemblies for the 14-2 sometimes on Ebay or Gunbroker. You can use 15-2 barrel assemblies, but they have a higher front sight since they have adjustable rear sights. EWK Arms makes a short front sight to use a 15-2 barrel assembly on a 14-2 revolver. His ad is on the right sidebar of this page. He makes great stuff.
The barrel assemblies that are on the CZ/Dan Wesson site are for model 15-2 or 715(stainless).
As far as its value, most of us here will say it is difficult to narrow down on Dan Wessons, the market varies. Yours looks like it is in great shape so I would say $350-$400.

I paid $399 so right in line with what you are saying. Should be a great .357 for that price, even better if i can find some barrels.
Thanks for all the comments!
