Hi all. My wife and i are avid shooters, and own many pistols and rifles. We are lucky enough to own 26 acres of wooded land that borders 700,000 acres of state land in upstate NY. We are able to go up there and shoot, camp, hang, and do whatever with no prying eyes. Makes being gun owners very fulfilling.
I own the Dan Wesson 715 pistol kit, with 4 inch, 6 inch, and 8 inch, interchangeable barrels, hence why i am here. I am noticing an issue, in that it will only fire 5 out of the 6 cylinders. I am here to see if this is a common problem, or a simple fix, or if i just got a bad one, not sure. Anyway, i am gonna post this in the proper section, and look forward to sharing and talking to others.

Yes, my property upstate is awesome. I can shoot whatever and whenever i wish. Its like our own personal playground. I have a small hunters cabin up there, but i am considering building a proper home up there. We shall see. I would love to perhaps even open an interactive outdoor gun range on my property, but i feel i may have to do it in a state that has more flexible gun laws. The neighboring state of Pennsylvania may be my spot. I am torn between selling my upstate land and then finding something as good or better in another state, or just working with what i got already.
With the state of things in this country however, i do NOT want to be without a place to "get away" and be safe with. Might have to buy more land in Pennsy first, then sell my upstate land. This is my current life's dilemma. Doesn't help that since covid i have tons of people trying to make me an offer on my upstate land. People are starting to realize its value.

It will be cheaper now that ole slow Uncle joe put the brakes on the gas industry!
Well, thats bad for the gas industry, but good if looking to buy out there, like myself. I also heard the "bubble" is about to pop out there too. I am looking at, and talking mostly about the eastern coast of Pa. I noticed that since covid the prices have reason a bit, as people from the NYC/NJ area ran out there to "escape". However, once there, they are starting to realize they still need to work and the commute is killing them.
Now they are looking to head back, and or bit off more than they can handle, and properties, estates, and homes are needing to be unloaded, and or foreclosing. I am hoping i catch it just right, as it drops down. I have always been lucky when it comes to real estate, not so much the stock market, but real state i usually time right. Hoping i can do it again in Pa.
You should consider Florida. We have a state law that no county or municipality can pass a gun law more restrictive than the state law. You can shoot anywhere on your property as long as it is not across a road or at or over a house. If some Yankee complains a Sheriff's Deputy shows up once and tells us to have fun. No open carry but the state SHALL issue a conceal carry permit to all folks who pass the background check. There is no state registration of guns. No limits on purchases. No limit on magazine size or gun style. Most Sheriffs encourage gun ownership as many counties are quite large and a LE officer can not always be there quickly. We also have a castle doctrine that extends to your vehicle. Lastly, we have nice, mostly pleasant winters. And deer with no wasting disease and turkeys galore.
