Hi!
I'm new to this forum, found it through facebook actually As I'm Norwegian, my English is kind of rough in the edges, hope you'll bear over with me
What to tell... I'm the proud owner of a DW revolver, not quite sure which model though, that I inherited from my father. At least I know that it is a .357mag, and it shoots great! Really glad I found this site, because DW isn't very common in Norway...
Here's my pride & joy:

Thanks for the welcomes all of you!
Ah, good to know which model it is! Have been wondering about that, because my gun license just tells serialnumber and caliber And yes, the shrouds have venting. All in all I think the gun and all shrouds are in good condition, but I have no idea of how much it's been used...
Is it any way to find out when the gun is produced? Perhaps based on the serialnumber? It would be interesting to know how old it is, as my father had it for as long as I can remember. Now, I'm just 28, but still *curious*
And, got 1 more question Anyone know of where it's possible to get hold of spare parts? I've had no luck on finding stores that are shipping to Europe...

We have a few benchmark serial numbers that we can identify prchase dates with from our Members. Unfortunately, parts will be pretty tough, DW/CZ does not appear to ship internationally.
That is a very fine looking Pistol Pack, it would be interesting to find out how it made it to Norway.
Welcome to DWF
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

to the forum another way of telling a time frame is where is was made it will be stamped into the receiver it won't give you a pacific date of being produced but it will give you a time from to help narrow it down. Like my 15-2 was made in Monson Mass that being said it puts the period of production between 1971-1992 I know that is a big time span but a little information is better than none at this point. Glad that you find joy in your DWA like we do as well. Hope to hear more from on the world class weapons. Glad to have shooters from around the world. And you never know some of our members might be able to help you locate parts granted the shipping would be high but parts are parts when they are need. Never know I recieved many things over the years from over sea's no weapons but some parts. International shipping isn't that big of a pain.

Thanks for all the kind words on my pack
This gun is also made in Monson by the way.
Luckily, I don't really NEED any parts right now, but it would be nice to have some spares IF I would ever need them. I guess that is a form of maximation of crises that we girls perform all the time
I think it's strange that DW is so little known over here, but most of the other young people in my shootiungclub haven't even heard of it... There's mostly S&W revolvers around here...

I think that if the DW company done better, and hadn't been plagued with financial hardships (including transfers of ownership three times), the name would be more well known than it is. As it is, S&W is a lot more well known in this country as well. Just how it goes, I suppose.
You know, your comment just got thinking...you may be our first female member here, that's cool. If there is another, she sure doesn't post much & I have forgotten.
Anyway, there's nothing wrong with having spare parts in case something breaks. Most of us have spares too, to one degree or another.
