Unlike these guys, I didn't even know about DW's until I stumbled on a SuperMag article in the early 80's...that really started the "need" flowing.
The only setback was that I couldn't afford one. Luckily I've been able to make up for lost time, lately.

Well, I discovered Dan's in 1985 when I decided to get a Python in nickle. The dealer talked me into 2 DW's instead. I have never looked back.

Welcome to the DWF! I bought mine, as my first gun, 30+years ago, because I thought the interchangeable barrel thing was cool, and it was a good price. It sorta grew from there 
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
