Revolver bug got me this year.  Great site, learning alot.  I write for Precision Shooting and would like to include more revolver related pieces in the future.  How many articles about Benchrest do we really need, right?

Welcome Steve,

Careful, the Dan Wesson bug will burrow in like a tic, take hold, and next thing you know you get the DWAS fever.  (Look in FAQ's at the right for the DWAS acronym)

SUBJECT: Welcome aboard Laugh

Seriously, the fun thing here is that we learn new stuff every day. Someone comes out of nowhere with an unusual DW, and we say "Huh?".  We obviously really love our Dan Wessons, but it is tough to find a more effective and versatile revolver at any price, much less the $300-450 that they commonly sell for.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome Steve b. to the DWF Sign  We would look forward to a new DW article in a current magazine, that may give better reason for CZ to consider reproducing the greatest revolver ever built!

Thanks all.  There is alot of reading to catch up on for me, and some spending of money will undoubtly follow.  Right now I have started collecting rimfire revolvers, and will start looking for my first Dan Wesson rimfire revolver.

I did see that CZ does not offer the revolvers, and that would surely be a heavy handed point that I would convey to CZ through the magazine.

A few things stand out about this site to me so far, and first and foremost is the very professional layout of the forum.  There are some outstanding photos here, probably some of the very best I have seen of revolvers.  I like the layout of the site and the easy in looking for information.  Kudos to all who have been involved in the creation.

At this time I have a few rifle pieces in the hopper with PS, and that will give me some time to begin my research about DW pistols (and save money for the right one when I find it).

Thanks again all and I look forward to this new adventure.

Steve, welcome to the forum.  As you will find out the DWF is really a group effort.  I started the forum in January 2008 and the first year we only had about 1600 post and now we do that easily in a month.

The photo's that some of the guys post are simily amazing and that's what keeps DWAS (Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome) thriving around here!

I know I certainly would like to see some revolver articles I'm getting tired of the same old AR / 1911 articles in every magazine.

Again welcome to the forum and let us know if we can answer any questions!

First of off Welcome Steve B. I have to agree with the rest of the gang that every magazine on the face of the earth seem to be hung up on the AR's and the 1911's. I look forward to someone coming out with some new stuff about our old revolvers.

Welcome steve b.

Glad to have you with us. We really do need more revolver coverage, especially of the great Dan Wessons. You will find a wealth of info in this site, and a bunch of great guys willing to help. Once you get your first Dan Wesson, we will, of course, need pics. Not everything needs to stay in Vegas.
