I JUST FOUND THIS SITE BY ACCIDENT A FEW DAYS AGO. I BOUGHT MY DAN WESSON15-2V6IN MAY OF 1979. SERIAL #16203X. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL FOAM BOX , ALL THE PAPERS THAT CAME WITH IT , AND THE GAUGE AND THE TOOL FOR CHANGING OUT THE BARRELS. IT WAS BRAND NEW AND I ONLY PAID $215.00 FOR IT. I DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF TIME FOR SHOOTING OF ANYTHING THAT I OWN SO I DON'T THINK I HAVE EVEN PUT 200 ROUNDS DOWN THE BARREL.I JUST GOT IT OUT AND OILED IT UP. I DO HAVE TIME FOR THAT. I AM NOT A VERY GOOD SHOT BUT EACH TIME I TAKE IT TO SHOOT EVERYONE COMMENTS ON ITS ACCURACY. IT IS A .357 AND IT IS BLUED. MADE IN MONSON. IF I WAS TOLD I WAS GOING TO LIVE ON A FAR AWAY PLANET AND COULD TAKE ONE HANDGUN AND ONE RIFLE I WOULD TAKE MY DAN WESSON AND MY 1935 MODEL BELGIAN MADE MAUSER ( 30-06 CAL.) THEY WILL BOTH BE AROUND LONG AFTER I'M GONE. THEY ARE BOTH MANUFACTURED TO LAST FOREVER. I WOULD NEVER SELL EITHER ONE OF THEM NO MATTER WHAT I WAS OFFERED. QUALITY NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE. I CAN UNDERSTAND EVERYONES ENTHUSIASM FOR THEIR DAN WESSON. IT IS ONE OF THE FINEST REVOLVERS EVER MADE. WELL THAT'S ENOUGH FOR NOW. SIGNED MAUSER

Welcome to DWF, your passion for quality, working guns is clear. We'll look forward to a photo of your "far away planet" pair.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
