Hello, new to the forum, but I have had my Dan Wesson 22 for about 20 years.  Traded a Smith 9 mm, 469 for it, a 22 in a soft side case with a 2-1/2" and a 8" barrel.  I just bought a 4" barrel this past week.Smile  Now if I could just find a 6" barrel, I would have the whole set, but that will have to wait for my "ME" fund to build back up.  I haven't had much oportunity to shoot for the last 11 years, but I hoping to change that.  Hope to learn more on these great guns, being on the forum.

Welcome TC.  Keep an eye on GunBroker for that barrel assembly.  It seems to be a good place to find DW stuff.

Welcome to the Forum. Barrels & Shrouds for .22's are much less available on auctions than the .357's. Good luck in your search.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks for your welcomes.  I actually bought the new barrel off of GunBroker from Jody, and followed the emails to here.  I'll find a 6" one of these days and then the set will be complete, then I can start on a 715, I would really like the 4" barrel stainless 357.

TC,

Welcome to the forum!  Glad you were pleased with the barrel assembly.  If I come across a 6" I will let you know.

Jody,

Thanks, the 4" barrel is a lot more practical than the 2-1/2" and the 8".  The 2-1/2 is just too short for and the 8" is too cumberson for anything but serious target shooting.  I plan to shoot the DW a lot more, and leave the Ruger Mark II at home.
