Ladies & Gentlemen,

I'm very pleased that the powers to be have decided to allow me access to this forum. I don't currently own a DW but, I hope to change that in the near future. So,  that's why I'm here, to find out what to watch for in the DW line up of products.

Recently my eye has been drawn to the DW CBOB model. I'm aware that the model has been discontinued but I have high hopes that someday one will come my way, if I'm a good boy and finish my veggies at dinner time.

I'm happy to be here and look forward to listening, asking questions and hopefully contribute in some small manner.Proud To Be An American

Welcome to DWF, the CBOB is a great pistol to aspire to own. In fact, I aspire to own one, and still kick myself for not buying a used one about a year ago that was going for $750.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcometo the DWF Sign. I love my CBOB and aspire to own the rest of 1911 line up. Good luck on your DW hunt.

BTW- I am born and raised in MI, still have family there. Where are you?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My wife & I were born & raised on the East side of Lansing. My career caused us to move to where we currently, Washington Township ( 28 Mile Rd & Mound Rd.). I've been retired for awhile now due to medical issues. Where abouts were you raised?

BTW if I haven't said it enough yet–I WANT A CBOBFrown

And, thanks for all the nice "Welcomes."

Could someone answer a noob question? I see that when I post, on the left top of the banner, just right of the DW logo it says "Model 22 fan". I've no idea what that means, help?

It's just a little silliness related to the number of posts you have made.  As your post count increases, your "caliber" will increase also.  Look at mine; I post way too much.

Farmington MI, graduated MSU. Moved around a little, Davenport IA, Toledo OH, been in CT for 25+. Family in Petoskey, much family scattered around Detroit suburbs.

You can find CBOB's online for $1500, I won't say it's too much money, but it's a lot of money. They have gone up like crazy in the past yearFrown

Thanks for the tip about on line sales, I'll be looking at them. Do you visit the Petoskey part of your family. I love that area.

WelcomeThanks for the recognition. As soon as I get my CBOB I'll post the pics here.

In the meantime I'm expecting delivery of a Fusion in about a month. It too is a Commander w/Bobtail & it's A all steel gun.

You'll have to show us some pictures of the Fusion as well.  I have read good things about Fusion.  Bob Serva that owns Fusion once owned DW.

Yes, Bob's a great person. He's been working on mine since last Dec. and I believe that when I get it I won't need the CBOB
