Hello everyone,
My name is Mitch Houser. I have been lurking for a little while and finally decided to join up. I am a LEO from NE Ohio and also have a small business teaching CCW courses and general firearms usage (Right To Carry, LLC). I bought a well-used Monson .44 a few years back and have been enjoying it from time to time. Yesterday I picked up a 2.5″ model 15 in nearly perfect condition for a song. I figured I'd join up here and throw my hat in the mix.
Good to meet everyone!

Yes.... I'm aware of the lack of pictures. I'll work on that.
The .44 is pretty much a dog and in need of some refinishing TLC. I have a connection at Metalife and may send it off for a nice satin HC. I wanted to buy one more barrel/shroud combo before it goes away. Right now I have 6" & 10" vent heavy ribs and was thinking about a 8" for a nice matched set.
The 15 is just beautiful. It has purpled noticibly but has only one scratch. Otherwise it is beautiful condition. The barrel is a 2.5" vent heavy rib.

to the DWF Mitch! Great to have one of Ohio's finest aboard. Karl Lewis was an LEO in Dayton and was born July 11, 1927 in Farmersfield, Ohio. So you have something of a "historical link" to DW's going.
Check the History tab if you want to read up on the man responsible for the unique design! Tons of info here on the ol' DWF...
Good job on picking up that snubbie. Looking forward to pics!

Mitch- Sorry everyone is so cold and standoffish, but I'll you. Glad to have a new DW guy, and an LEO. I just bought a 744, and am still getting used to it. The 15-2 is the Dan Wesson standard, it took me 30 years to get a 4" and 2 1/2" to go with the original 6", and it was a whole new world for me.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
