Hello everyone.
I just purchased my first Dan Wesson revolver, a model 15, and will be able to pick it up in about 10-11 days (CA 10 day wait). The gun is used but looks to be in really good shape though I'll need to do some cleaning to be sure. The gun came with a 6" and 8" barrel only (can anyone point me to where I can purchase the barrel changing tools?) and I paid about $450, which I don't think is too bad considering I just saw a barrel and shroud sell for around $200 on Gunbroker.
I originaly looked into Dan Wessons for their Classic Commander and other 1911s but still haven't been able to find one for a good pricel. Being in CA only two DW pistols are available for new dealer purchases and all other models need to be bought via PPT. I then read about their revolvers after seeing one listed on a different forum and became interested. I did some research and the price seemed pretty fair in California and I'm certain I can get more than I put in if I ever decided to sell.
Anyway, thanks for the forum and off I go to do some reading.

Congrats on the DW revolver-is it a Monson, MA version? Barrel tools available on e-bay, and are also supposed to be available from CZ-USA, the current owner of Dan Wesson. They also have barrels and shrouds at reasonable prices.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
