I used to work at Bi-Mart in the 70's. Every shift I would walk by  the gun case and ogle the DW Pistol Packs and the Airweight snubs. Over the years I have lost all passion of owning an airweight; but the DW Pistol Pack, or at least a DW with a few barrels to swap in, have still kept my interest.

A few years ago I bought a Model 14- the kind with the less popular "foot" that seats against the receiver. It is a 2" barrel and has a full lug. It weighs in at just under a ton but is fairly steady when shooting. I have been interested in getting a longer barrel for it but I don't find to much info on them.

Does anyone know if this type of barrel was offered in the same configurations as the 15-2? I was hoping to get something with a full lug... VH would be wishing for too much.

Anyway, I am a long time transplant to Oregon. I live near Portland and Like to get away to fish for trout or Hunt for Blacktail every season.  My wife is pretty cool about me doing this  wife.

I have other weapons. Some auto pistols; but only the one revolver. I want to get a 15-2; but not really eager to sell my Model 14- you know "traded up and regretted it ever since"

Hi everyone.

welcometo the place that is nuts about DWs. Yes you can find longer barrels for your (porkchop) as we call them. You just have to watch the auction sites until the right one pops up. Sorry no new production available. I don't believe a VH will be an option either. 4 and 6 in versions pop up fairly regular and now that you have been exposed to DWAS you will be searching for a 15-2 soon enough. Oh and by the way, we like pics here so don't be stingy. wink

I like you already and Welcome to DWF!     As LB said 2,4,6 are the only ones you can get for these!  All are close though being a 14 you need to be careful of sight hieght as the W12's 12's and early 15's had taller front sights.  As you look around be sure and check outr LB's grips (best grip maker around these parts) and Look over EWK for some parts that will fit your 14!

as for a tease I gotta show one of mine!

welcomeaboard!

A new member popped in here recently with a 4" BA for sale HERE, for a reasonable price. Although, it may be from a model 15. If the front sight is too tall, you could file it down, or maybe EWK Arms (link in the sidebar to the right) could make you a shorter one.

Show off your 14, we'd love to see it!laugh I'll add a teaser too, although this pair don't have as much patina as DWA's does.big-grin One is .38 Spl, the other is .357 Mag.

Ok, ok! Here is my model 14. I didn't want to show off; but I am the new guy and I aim to please. I showed it to my hunting partner who carries a bobbed snubby by Taurus. Next to his, he admitted, its massive. Hell he had to take a nap after handling my gun. So here it is…

Forgot to mentioned, it has been "Parkerized".

Gorgeous.

Oh, I almost forgot (I'm old too — smile), welcome to the dwf-sign.

BTW, I only admit to being 29.  You are what you think you are.

Your 14 looks great, thanks for showing it off!cool

I guess the opinion on a gun being massive relates directly to the type of gun a person is used to handling. I've got a few big bore-long barrel guns, so compared to those, my model 14's seem small & light.laugh

Thanks  for shareing and parkerized doesnt look bad at all.  I have W12 that was chrome molly coated, looks sweet!
