Hey guys, I'm new here and just wanted to say hi. I just picked up a model d11 in 2 inch and I can't find a serial number on it. Is it under the grip or something? This thing is in 99% condition and is a looker. I'll post a picture when I get a chance. Hi and thanks guys.Smile

Welcome hkmp5s.

I don't have a model D11, so I can't answer your question.

Welcome hkmp5s.  If that's your first DW you better make room somewhere for more. I don't have a D11 either but will someday for sure and can't help you with the s/n question. Have you removed the grips to take a look?

Someone in the nuts house will know for sure.

Doom missed his chance for Post Pics  rofl.

Howdy andWelcometo theDWF Sign

Congrats on your D11 score, we'd sure love to see someCool Pics of that neat 'ol Porkchop when you can!Laugh

Your serial number should be stamped on the frame, under the crane...

If it's not stamped there, then you have a really early one, in which case it should be stamped on the grip tang...

I'd be interested in hearing how many digits you have, when you find 'em, too.Smile

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Got some pictures with my droid. Their not the best but they'll do until I can drag out my big camera. This gun is flawless. I just need to make time to shoot it.

The serial number was inside when you open the cylinder. It was 379x. Image Enlarger

Just a little update:

I've been working a lot and haven't had a chance to shoot anything much. This past weekend me and some friends got together and did some shooting. I left my 357 out with a couple of bags of ammo and my buddies wives found it and proceeded to shoot it and all my ammo up.

I had to pry it out of their hands. They loved the large grip and were trying to trade me for it. The ladies were in love with it for it's looks and how they could control it in their hand and how it didn't take up much room in their purse.

I've only got to shoot about 200 rounds thru it and I'm not wanting to part with it. One of the ladies is a good friend and fell in love with it and would carry it because she hasn't found a pistol thats she's happy with. She loves this one so it might just have a new owner. I hate to part ways with it but if it keeps a good friend safe then I can live with that.

Now I need to start looking for a replacement for it and you better believe it's going to be another Dan Wesson.Smile

PS: guys don't buy your wife an air weight.

That IS funny.laughing  My wife used to do that 20 years ago, when I'd bring her along to go shooting with my friends. She would go through half the ammo supply all by herself.lol2 She was pretty good at hitting things too, better than I was at the time.Range Time

I can put you in touch with a nice Model 12 Pistol Pack for $750, just saw it the other day in a gunshop.

Just tryin' to help feed your DWAS

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
