Hey guys, new to the forum, I have the revolver pictured that was gifted to my Grandfather some years ago and them he passed it on to me, as he is too old to be using his guns anymore. My problem is it has no model # on it so I have no idea what it is other than a DW 357 CTG, the only thing on the other side of the gun is the serial # and it says Monson, Mass USA. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That is a very nice looking Dan Wesson 14-2 with a 2 1/2" barrel. You can get an approximate manufacture date here:

It is a Model 14-2 because it has fixed rear sight and the straight (not footed/porkchop shroud)

Welcome to DWF.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Looks to be Circa 1981, thanks for the information, very helpful! The revolver is in excellent condition, shot very little I assume. I have only used it twice and I suspect my grandfather didn't use it much either. Bluing is excellent still, bore, cylinder, all very good, only real wear I see is the DW symbol on the grips.
Thanks again.

I think your 14-2 looks great. If your only concern is the grip medallion, you might try working a little black enamel into the medallion, and then wipe it off the high points.
Or get one of these:
Our brother LB makes the grips that Daniel B. would have put on his guns if he could have. Every one is a labor of Love for him.
