You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked every day by a middle aged woman: Stuff you pay good money for in later life.

i had a 357 blue vh pistol pack many years ago. it got sold in a divorce. i picked up a blue 44m at a gun show several years ago for next to nothing, po had done a trigger job and screwed it up. cz was still repairing the revolvers so i had them repair it and smooth up the trigger. it's been one of my favorites. it came with a 4" ported and a pachmyere grip. along they way i picked up a wooded grip and an 8" barrel. i got a picture somewhere, i'll have to dig it up. shame they ain't making the revolver anymore

Welcome to DWF, my son lived in Galveston (not so far from you in Texas terms) for a couple of years, and is pretty determined to go back permanently. Nice 44 you have, too bad about the Pack, I wonder how many have been lost in similar circumstances?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

If Gaido's is right on the ocean(gulf?)front, I remember seeing it when I was there for less than a day to help him get packed and moved into storage. We spent the evening in Houston with friends of his, and then got on the road. What I saw of Galveston looked really nice, and most of the commercial area was pretty much recovered from Ike, other areas not so much.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My son was in an apartment about 1/4 mi north of the seawall/shore. No damage to his place, his car was parked at the base and was totalled with flood damage, he was deployed on rescue ops. If he returns to that area, he plans on living a little more inland, about halfway up toward Houston.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

GPZ1100,  A late Welcome to the DWF Sign.  I see your 44 has a set of  grips that seem to be half walnut / ha;f zebra in their look.  A bit unique.  Does that ported 4" barrell make a noticeable difference?  Thanks for sharing your photo.
