Hello all, New to forum & just wanting to share some info.

I aquired from a friend who lost their pistol permit a Dan Wesson small frame 357. Its from the Monson plant. He says it was purchased new in 1978/79. Not exactly sure. Ser# 1885xx. It is blued and comes with the 8",6",4",2.5" barrels. 2 wrenches, two grips 1 wood, 1 rubber & of course the gap tool. I have had this wheelgun for two years & I love it. A tack driver when my hands allow it. Thank you for all the usefull information & I hope the addition of this serial # helps build your archive.

JoeBuzz- Welcome aboard, we are getting new folks here almost daily now, and it's good to have you here. Thanks for the S/N info, and it sounds like you got a Pistol Pack. Did you get the case too? it's kind of intimidating to have a pistol that shoots so much better than I do.

Steve

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Hey Steve, My friend says he actually bought it with two barrels & then purchased the other two barrels seperately at a future date. It does come in a case but, not the original pistol pack case. It still looks very impressive to open the case & see the entire set laid out like a bunch of cadets on review. As far as the gun having more abilities than myself... well what can I say. I have let up a little on my grip & have seem to stopped some of the shaking in my hand. Too tight a grip and the shake comes back. Always learning. One handed shooting is cool!

I don't know if you're interested, but the Pistol pack cases sometimes come up on E-bay, and I saw one once on Gunbroker too.
