Hi all. I have been interested in guns and shooting since a kid. I grew up in east Tn. First "gun" was a Daisy Red Ryder ( which I still Have) when I was 8. My next rifle was a 22, bought from a sears catalog. Then my next was an M-14 when I joined the Marines in 64. I had several others back then. We trained with M-1's in advanced infantry regiment after boot camp in Parris Island. Then I was assigned to a weapons platoon M-60's. I carried an M-14 then and as much ammo as I could. Then when I became a gunner , I had the pleasure of carrying the M-60 , and a 45. We were also trained in using the 3.5 rocket launcher and flame throwers, just in case. After a year and a half of that, I volunteered for Force Recon Co. and back to M-14 .... for a short while ... then the M-16, 45 and a short barrel l 12 gauge. Following my 13 months in country, I was sent to Fort Mead, Md. whith NSA, still with my favorite, the 45. After getting out in 70, I retained my relationship with the 45 and many others since.
That's about it in a nut shell.

Howdy Huck, to the First off, thank you for your service!
Sounds like you were able to use a variety of toys through the years. I've been mostly a revolver guy, but just recently bought my first DW 45ACP...took it to the range yesterday...MAN, it's a great shooter! Had to pick a lot of brass out of the grass & weeds, though.
