Hi guys,
I joined this forum searching for some information on a Mitchell Titan revolver that I picked up at a local gun shop and I was inquiring about the grips and if there are any that would fit it. A few members on the original thread posted and were quite helpful, but they asked for some pictures of it in a new members thread since I missed the whole introduction thing.
Any information that people have on this gun would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the Mitchell name, but I'm seeing that I got a pretty rare piece for the price and it does shoot really well.
Somebody did paint the front sight, which is kind of irritating. The bluing is in great shape, but it's smudgy.

No problem! Happy to share. There is so little information out there on these, what do you all think it is worth? Do we know what they were to start with?

They are Palmer made 1991. To date I have not seen nor held the adjustable site model. I have a blue and SS. Without digging them out of the safe I think the blue is a 2.5" and the SS a 4"/ both had grips like yours(don't loose those). Price wise who knows, like you said not very much info on these. A keeper for sure if you are into Dans. The blue one of mine is perfect and mirror finish. Being they are an unknown sale of one would have to be to someone in the know and wanting to expand a Dan made collection. Having a few Dans as well as High Standards (made by Dan) I would not turn an other Mitchell Titan away....
What are you into was this a wow I think I need this one or heck of a price I cant go wrong?

Dave,
I just stumbled onto this. I get all my handguns through a small local dealer. I was in the shop visiting with a few other guys and he pulled this out from under the cabinet and showed it off. I decided to bite because the price was too good to resist. I had a Charter Arms Bulldog .357 at one time, which looked similar to this, but it was smaller and only a 5 shot. I traded that in a deal a long time ago but always kind of missed having a revolver. When this came down the pike, I took the chance since it was twice the gun that charter was and was in good shape. My problem with that charter was that I didn't like the hard nylon grips and it was impossible to find Houge grips for it or anything. The dealer from which I bought it seemed to know that it was related to Dans somehow, but he didn't know much. That's when I stumbled onto this forum in search of more information.
I am by no means a Dan Wesson collector. I do have a friend that has a very nice Dan - I'm not sure of the model but it's at least a 6 inch barrel. Shoots like a dream. Most of my gun interests are semi-autos.

Let me know how it shoots as neither of mine have been shot by me. Several grip configs are out there for this one Our own LB is a master handle builder. see link on right if interested in some natural hand made. This may be the start of something as all of started with just one Dan.

It shoots really, really well. Probably the best revolver that I've fired to date. Who knows, I may end up with all kinds of Dan's before it's all over! Thanks for the information. I'll be hunting some grips with all the info.
