Thanks guys, here's my 714. I don't think it's been well taken care of. There is some slop in the cylinder rotation at lockup. Where these revolvers built with some movement at lockup or should they be tight? How much movement is too much? I want to learn how to go through this one and make it right. CJ
Welcome to the forum. The 714 is an uncommon bird. The lockups hold be tight but not Python tight. Dans are very user friendly. Tell us more about what it is doing. If you need parts let us know Snake-eye and I are sitting on a horde of hard to get parts including cylinder bushings and springs.

My 715 has almost zero play at full lockup. I have to put effort into it to move it any. Ole dog is right about dw being user friendly from pics I've seen online it's a fairly simple design. I'm afraid to open mine just yet because I haven't set up a proper workbench yet and I have hands like a bundle of bananas. There's plenty of threads here that should aid in improving your 714 from its current state.

Thanks Ole Dog. It looks to me like the bolt (cylinder lock, I think it is part #37 on the schematic) is rocking on it's pivot allowing the cylinder to have rotational play. CJ
