Good morning and greetings from central Indiana.  I purchased my first Dan Wesson Vigil Commander just 2 weeks ago and it immediately became my favorite!  Love the feel and it is very enjoyable to shoot at the range.  I would love to get it outdoors but haven't had that chance yet.

Thanks for the Forum.

Welcome to the forum. The bug is called Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome, or DWAS for short. Compulsive acquisition of all things Dan Wesson. Revolvers are the most addictive. It is incurable and only put in remission by low funds. BEWARE GUNBROKER. COM. BHAHAHA

Did you all get the email from Gun Broker stating on January 1, 2021, they are going to tack on state sales tax with your purchase.  Ane welcome again RedStat!

DA, didn't see that. All states? New and used guns? Private sellers or just dealers? Good thing I have been going crazy with purchases.

All buyers it said will be charged the sales tax in their state and it will be added to the invoice, the seller will then have to remit to GB along with the sales fee as part of the cost of sale.

Since JUN of 2018, if the business (GB in this case) is selling to customers in their state -or- they have sales tax "nexus" in a destination state that has sales tax, then they (GB) should collect sales tax an remit to that state; if those states have enacted laws requiring the collection of sales tax by online sellers..

It's not new but not all businesses do it.

I did some checking after seeing DA64 comment. It appears that GB is considered a Facilitator,  like Ebay ,not a seller.  The requirement for Facilitators to collect taxes is fairly recent.  Either way the cost of ALL gunbroker items will increase by the amount of sales tax where the item is shipped.

Welcome aboard!  Lots to see and learn about here.  Bet you will soon want guns you didn't even know existed a few months ago.

I definitely caught the DWAS (Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome, thx for the reference Ole Dog).  I have added a Dan Wesson Valor Commander Limited Edition NIB in duty finish, heartwood grips.  Beautiful gun, wonderful in the hand and very nice at the range.  Yes, I had to shoot it--I don't buy to put in the safe.  A beautiful Dan Wesson should be seen, AND HEARD!  😉
