Hi everyone. This is my first time owning a dan wesson revolver. My fiance bought it for me a few days ago as a gift. It is a 357 and seems to be a 15-2 with a 6 in barrel as far as i can tell. it was made in monson and the serial number is 36322xx. I have no Idea how old it is. I did notice the barrel nut only has 2 notches and a friend of mine said his old dan wesson had 4. Im waiting to get tools to disassemble it before i take it to the range.

Welcome to the Forum, that's a pretty nice gift to get from your fiance.
Any chance there is an extra digit in your S/N? A 7 digit Monson S/N would be pretty unlikely, a 6 digit 36322x approximately 1984, and a two notch barrel nut is much more common, but of course
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
