Dustoff1970 here. Longtime revolver fan, Vietnam veteran (so that dates me pretty well) and veteran of the IHMSA metallic silhouette era, although I guess they still shoot that in some areas. Used to be a big fan when I lived in God's country. Where is that , you say...well Texas, where else. Now residing in historic Bucks County, PA. Like the history and the terrain, not so much the snow every winter.
I just picked up a Dan Wesson 15-2 pistol pack, which is why I am joining this forum. Needed a good quality 357 since I am semi-retiring my Python. Prices on those things have gone crazy, so the Colt will be shot, just not as much as in the past.
My DW 15-2 is the standard 4 bbl pack and had all the components except the belt buckle and patch. It's got the solid ribs and standard shrouds. Pristine condition. Whoever owned it sure did not shoot it much. That's about to change, as I use firearms for what they were designed to do. Going out Monday to let her talk to some targets.
I like the forum and hope that I can eventually contribute something meaningful as I become more knowledgeable about these fine DW revolvers

Welcome to the forum, I have lived all my life in PA but I hear you about the snow, my tolerance for snow and cold these past few years is wearing thin. Thank you for your service time to our Country, and we like here so if you have any of your Pistol Pac the fellows will love to see them.

Welcome to DWF, and thanks for the introduction, AND Thank You for your honorable Service.
The Python is a beautifully crafted revolver, and I envy the fact that you own one. Your choice to shoot a 15-2 is sensible, you can shoot the Dan Wesson a LOT, loaded as heavily as common sense dictates (and then some), and it just comes back for more.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
