I do not own any Dan Wesson firearms, and because I am in Canada that will probably not change soon! The firearms laws have changed drastically in Canada recently making most handguns nontransferable within Canada. One available option is to export them to the USA which is a long process but ultimately doable for guns which are able to pass the US import rules.
I am working with an executor of a friends estate and we have what I think is a Model 15-VH6, which should be importable. I have just one bad picture for the moment, which I have attached.
I have joined this group in order to learn more about these firearms in order for me to save this one from an unfortunate ending.
Please don't trash Canada in response to my post, we firearms owners are sad enough as it is!

Welcome to the Forum from Western Kentucky.I have been to your beautiful country 4 times and have always enjoyed the beauty and friendliness of the people living there.
Thanks! We just returned from 6 months travelling around your country, and the same can be said!

Hunted Saskatchewan for Geese, Chicken, and Duck last fall- loved it! Welcome to the DWF. What are your questions?
That sounds like fun. I am a deer hunter, in an area with few deer, go figure. Great fun in a beautiful place but thankfully we are not hunting in order to survive!
I am still working out my questions but my initial task is to figure out what we have and what it is worth and whether exporting it to the USA will be viable. So far the information I have found here has been helpful. The next time I can get to the gun I will have more information in order to know what I am looking at.
The buy cycle will be long so it has not been clear to me what the best way to find a buyer is when it could take in excess of 3 months to complete the transaction end to end.

Is your other grip wood? With or without medallion? It should have at least a barrel nut tool and barrel gap tool, if not original box with sticker on side matching your serial number.
The one on the left is the wooden one with the medallion and is clearly for this pistol but the one on the right may be for a different pistol. Once I have physical access to them I will be able to sort this all out!
Thanks for the help, I hope I am able to locate the accessories!

Both Dan Wesson. The one on the Left is a Zebrawood Exotic. Very sought after. If it has a very healthy clearcoat, go ahead and shoot with it and enjoy it. I suggest removing it before cleaning the gun.

Finally after several months we have a handle on what we have. I appreciate all of the help you provided above. With that help we have found all of the tools that you mentioned.
As well, we have two additional grips. We have the Small Frame Zebrawood Exotic grip:
As well as what appears to be the Small Frame Walnut Combat Grip:
We have an estimate for what we think the value would be, but do any of you have a suggestion? Wrt to selling it, would listing this set in the classified ads here be a good choice?
As we are located in Canada, we will need to export it to the USA which will take some time after we have identified the buyer and their FFL.

Keep it! Anyway I had a lot of fun working in Canada in 2012 thru 2014 I was a tour guide/bus driver for Holland America doing a Skagway to Dawson City tour. We overnight in Whitehorse. Great tour and beautiful country. I loved Tim Hortons in Whitehorse! Dawson is a pretty crazy place. Everyone was very nice in Canada I wish we could get along here as well. I drove up in 2012 and took the Alcan highway on the way home everyone should do that drive. I was in Fairbanks that year and drove the top of the world hwy to Dawson. The Alcan hwy drive was so nice. Went thru a herd of Buffalo. On the way up went thru Banaff/Jasper on the way up and got stuck in Dease Lake snowstorm no gas had to stay at a small motel until I could proceed to Whitehorse. Good times!
