Thanks for letting me join. I have a W12 that my father got at a pawn shop I believe back when I was just a little tyke. He gave it to my grandfather who kept it in his closet for the better part of 40 years. When he passed away a few years ago I got the pistol. The only information I have on it is the serial number 689x. I’d love to learn more about it.

You should either buy a pack of model 12 hand springs from EWK or consider replacing the hand with the later version with a slot for the hand spring. The model 11 a d 12 hand spring wrapped around the hand and rubs against the sideplate causing premature failure. Very inexpensive fix if it happens.
