Hello,

Ive been lurking on the site for the past week and finally joined.

I was lucky enough to pick up a Monson 15 6" H.V. in .357 for 200.00 recently and I am looking to make into a family heir loom. No case or barrel tool 🙁

My good friend owns a S.S 4" HV 357 and since using it at the range I have been on the look out for a Dan Wesson. Finally got it..sort of.

It's missing some components that I hope to source and restorfy this awesome revolver into what I hope will be a family heirloom.

Need to source

Better Grips..currently has large frame? hogue.

ejector rod

rear sight

front sight insert

refinish (the bluing is beat with minor scuff and nicks)

Looking forward to posting and contributing to the Dan Wesson cause and taking some hogs with it when done.

welcometo the wild world of dwf-sign. Great choice with a DW. Look to the right of your screen for FAQ's under where can I get parts. And Check out EWK arms for aftermarket parts. I highly recommend the EWK stuff.

Good luck and beware of dwas.

welcome to the forum.  Sounds like you got a good deal on a 15.  For grips, check out LB.  It's a labor of love for him but the grips he makes are truly worth the wait.  Eric makes great parts and tools.  Both are great guys and do outstanding work.  You may have to contact the Dan Wesson factory for an ejector rod.  (Call the Dan factory rather than CZ's online store.  Priscilla at the factory will tell you what they do and don't have.)  Good luck and do post pics, even as a beater.  We love pics.  laugh

Welcome to the DWF.

Sounds like your new gun needs a little TLC.  You'll get plenty of assistance with your restoration here.

One of our members, hotbluer, used to do the bluing for DW.  You might want to contact him when you get to that step.

goodluck

I dunno about that. It's not often that large frame Hogues will fit on a DW small frame. Besides, what's wrong with the Hogue rubbers, I kinda like 'em myself.smile They fit like a glove & feel great...
