Hello,
My name is Scott. I'm a 53 year old collector, and new to Dan Wesson, but excited to be here! Just bought a Wesson .357 Pistol pack, 1970's, blue with vent heavy barrels in 2", 4', 6" and 8" on Gun Broker from member Don Anderson, in beautiful condition. Have also purchased several different Wesson grips to fit this purchase. Also recently purchased a DW .357 snub nose 2" revolver, and already have a "want ad" on the forum for a particular grip I need for this gun.
My most recent purchase was for a new DW Guardian 9MM Semi Auto. Good to meet you all!
And thanks again to Don for the great conversation and intro to this board.

Hello Scott, welcome. The barrel shrouds you have are called Vent Heavy. Magnum is the cartridge. It looks terrific. The model 15 you have has the early short hammer throw. If you put an 8 lb Wolff mainspring in it and the Wolff reduced power trigger return spring, you will have one of the sweetest DA triggers in revolver land. The hammer fall is so fast it is amazing. I am inclined to part with a round butt conceal grip if it will fuel your DWAS. PM me your email address and we can pursue it. PM's are difficult for my archaic brain to figure out. Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes I get frustrated. Be careful not to let the cylinder close while the Star in extended. Nice 1911 too.

Hi Scott, I lived in Fort Payne in the late 70s early 80s and pass thru a couple or three times a year going to visit my Mother in Scottsboro. Just went that way over the Labor Day weekend. I was sad and nearly upset that I didn't get to drive over the BB Comer bridge going into Scottsboro, I knew they were tearing it down but it is still sad not to see it there after driving over it from the time I was 14 to now when I'm 60. I once knocked a mirror off a Uhaul truck on that bridge when I meet another truck going in the opposite direction, I loved it!!
You were real lucky to find that pistol pack and I wish I had one. In total I have more DWs than you but I only have 1 revolver without the pistol pack and 4 1911s, a CCO from back in 09, a 9mm Guardian from 2010, a 45 Guardian 2011, and a 2012 made ECO in 45. I hope you enjoy yours and can you vote for an old friend Randall Ham for city council this fall, it has been many years since I saw him.
