I'd love to fine a 357 super mag but I wish there was more aftermarket support for the super mags (barrels shrouds etc.)
Funny story. 4 years ago when I was looking for my first handgun I was dead set on a python as I always loved the look of them as a kid and heard how nice they were to shoot, that and the bluing... Well back then Python's went for around $1200 which I thought was way too much . My buddy then tells me about this "Dan Wesson" at a local gun store that looks exactly like a python with the vented rib, full underlug etc. and I retorted a confused "you mean smith and wesson or is it some South American knock off?" He assures me it's in fact a Dan Wesson and we head over to the gun shop only to find a guy in the process of filling out the paperwork to buy it. It sold for something like $250 back then and I've only become more intrigued by them since. I never EVER see them in gun stores anymore and that, along with the commiserate increase in price, leads me to believe these guns have finally been found out.
I only hope that CZ releases a large frame in 10mm which for me we be the confluence of my favorite cartridge and favorite wheelgun.
Cheers.

Hey Wheelgunner:
That's amazing. We had a very similar experience. Back in the mid '80's, I went into a gun store looking for a Python. The owner introduced me to Dan's and I bought 2 of them that day; a 715 for my wife and a 744 for me. They cost me $289 and $381 respectively. What wonderful guns. They put the Python to shame, IMHO. And they are actually better looking than the Python as far as I'm concerned.
