Hello from NC close to Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base from which I retired from active duty.
My main hobby is shooting Vintage rifle matches and action pistol shooting. I've recently picked up a good shooting Dan Wesson, fixed sighted, Patriot 1911 and am looking for a scource for the external extractor. I won't feel comfortable until I have 2 spare extractors, with their springs and drift pins in my parts bin. I've emailed CZ/DW about purchace of external extractors but have not received a reply. Does anyone know of a scource for the external extractors? Is the S&W1911 external extractor interchangable with the Dan Wesson?
OK, and since I'm asking "welcome aboard" questions; the sights on the Patriot look to be clones of Novac sights with rear and front dots. I would rather have a simple blued sight system and would like to know if the genuine Novac sights will fit the dovetails of the Patriot.
Pleased to be here and look forward to some interesting discussions on the forums.

OK, I got through to CZ/DW and put two extractors, springs and drift pins on order. I'll call Novac about the sights...so nevermind.

Welcome to the Forum-not enough 1911 people here. Thanks for serving our country as you did, it means a lot to more of us than you will know.

CZ/DW was very quick and I received my two external extractors with springs and drift pins today. I may never need them, but It makes me feel better to have them on hand. Thanks to DW (Gen) for the prompt service.
