Thanks for the add, Happy to be part of the forum. I just picked up an 8” 22 and it shots great , really impressed with the double action for a 22. I’ve put a couple hundred rounds through it and have excessive fouling around the cylinder, the cylinder gap seems a little wide, about .008 or so. I ordered a barell nut wrench and plan to make it smaller. I have a single six and a high standard with much tighter cylinder gap. The Dan Wessons are beautiful guns and am excited to get it dialed in.

Welcome to the Forum from Wisconsin.  The gap should be no more than .06 and can even be a little less depending on the tightest point on the cylinder.

Welcome from central IL!! As already mentioned, be sure to gap at each cylinder to make sure tightest spot is at the gap of your choice…typically .006” for most Dans, .002” for SuperMags.

Thank you guys. An update, I got the barell nut off and adjusted the gap to .006 and was much better, then decided to go to .004 and was going to shoot but got busy doing other stuff

Interested to see how the .004 does with the 22.  Post up a pic.
