Hey all…I started off my Dan Wesson with, ironicly, a High Standard sentinel mk2 in 357 mag. I've done a few project guns..the most recent is a m15 6" bbl/da. Found this forum while looking for parts, figured it may be a good resource, and a place to share ideas. A part I'm looking for now is the one circled in the picture. I copied the pic from a website…that isnt my gun, but it shows the part I'm looking for.

That's sort of a common part to come loose on small frame DW's. You should be able to get one directly from DW. Here's a LINK with contact info (also seen at the right of this screen in the "FAQ's" section).

We know that gun pretty well... belongs to Eric of EWK. I lucked up and got one of those barrels!
Yep holler to DW, and they should be able to get you a replacement part. ( i would order a few).

That piece is the cylinder stop, and it is not an original part in the DW design. That part of the sideplate can break off, and DW has produced the cylinder stop as a service/repair piece to help resolve this problem short of replacing the entire sideplate.
Since you're ordering anyways, consider getting a spring kit and replacing the old springs.
And, Welcome to DWF!
