I am not sure if this is the correct place to introduce my self or not. If not, then someone please direct me to the right area.
I am a retired DoD civilian and a Vietnam combat vet (boots on the ground in country type). I am also a Endowment Member of the NRA and I have a 15-2 with adjustable sights and combat grips...One barrel is a four inch ventilated rib and the other is a six inch solid rib...It was made in Monson Mass and I love shooting this revolver as it is extremely accurate.

Thank you all for the welcomes to the forum. Its nice to know that guys are out there that are Nam Vets and know where Perry County is located. Do any of you know where Shermans Dale is located.? Would like to get with other owners and shoot a little bull about the Dan Wesson products that we love so much. I belong to the Duncannon Sportsman Club and they have an area to shoot the bull or shoot the targets....Wes

Dang, you got me on that one. Should have considered Lancaster from the get go, sorry for missing that county in my choices..I am not that familiar with the SuperMag series. They do look pretty cool with the vented shrouds. Back in either late 79 or the early 80's, I saw one for sale at the local sporting goods store in Carlisle. If memory serves me right it was in a 357 Maximum or Supermax. I was going to buy it but the seller said he had no ammo for it. That was a setback for me as I had no other place to go to try to find ammo. So as so many others have done I passed and now wish I had jumped on it.There were no venues such as this to get info about the Dans back then. Sure am glad I found this site!!!!!!!!

Wes,
My original introduction to these fine revolvers came from watching them being used in IHMSA steel shoots at the Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers club back when they shoot handgun steel, a loooong time ago. I was just a kid then and always was fascinated with the 445's that were being fired.

SuperMag, I was a member of the Mechanicsburg traveling Trap Team. We did shoot against the HHAA team and if memory serves me right they had a one armed shooter that broke 100 more then once on their team.He was quite an interesting guy along with being a great trap shooter. I moved to Perry back in 91 and have lost touch with the guys in Mechanicsburg. I now belong to Duncannon Sportsmen Association, but have not joined the trap team as I now shoot the Dan and another Wesson model in 41Mag....
