Hello

I am a new member from Portugal, I currently own a 722 Dan Wesson revolver bought in 1988 and still shoot it regularly.

Welcome to DWF, you may be our first Member from Portugal. What are gun laws and the shooting scene like in your country?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Like most European countries Portugal is very restrictive to guns, is almost impossible to get a concealed carry license, because I am a sport shooter I have legal access to guns but basically I can only use them at the range.

We are still trying to find our way out of a economical crises, the number of sport shooters is still decreasing, for example my shooting club has today half of the shooters he had 5 years ago.

When we get out of this crises I think the number of sport shooters will rise again but for concealed carry permits, Europe (not just my country) is hopeless.

To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:

if you find one...what's your plan?

dwf-welcome to the dwf from PA- USA.  Glad to have you join and share your country's shooting scene.  What type of shooting sport do you engage in with your Dan?

We don't really have concealed carry permits in Canada, either.  There are a few exceptions but generally all pistols are for range use only.

Welcome to the DWF!

Hello,

Thank you all for the warm welcome, the competition I usually enter is for standard pistols or revolvers and consists of 30 precision shoots in 6 series of 5 shoots per target at 25 meters (27 yards).
