Hey folks!
Just bought a 15-2 4HV the other day. It's my first Dan Wesson. Prior to picking it up I lurked and read quite a bit about it in this forum. It was great to see so many admirers of Dan Wesson Arms and such a tremendous wealth of knowledge! This is my first Dan Wesson and my second revolver. I was torn between a few different revolvers but I have no doubt that it was reading the posts and seeing the pictures in here that ultimately closed the deal for me. I fell in love with it at the gun shop ... and after getting it home I liked it even more! Cheers!

Welcome aboard! I am originally from southwest PA, and although I've been shooting revolvers for almost 40 years I only recently purchased my Dan Wesson. The more you get to know them the more you will learn how unique they really are. The good news is that anything you will ever need to know about your DW is on this forum somewhere. Some really nice folks here on the DWF! They've been a real help to me.

Hello from Williamsburg, VA. I'm a long-time shooter of 1911s and S&W revolvers. I've just recently acquired a DW Guardian in .38 Super (my personal favorite caliber) and a DW Model 15-2 revolver. The Guardian is currently being "peaked and tweaked" by my trusted custom pistol smith and I'm about to perform an "average Joe's" work over on the model 15 - which is truly a "beater" that still has potential. Call it a project gun. Given that the internals on the model 15 are significantly different than the S&Ws I'm used to, this should be an interesting project. Fortunately, there are a couple of very informative articles here to help me along the way.
My other, totally unrelated passion, was/is, shotguns - particularly vintage side x side guns from Europe.
Cheers,
Jim

Just figured out out how to add images! So, I realize that I called this a "15-2 4HV" in my original post. I've since learned from this forum that it's actually a 15-2 VH4. Thanks for not beating this noob up over it 😉
It came with two sets of grips. Here's a picture of it in both. Not sure which I like more. I appreciate how easy it is to change them, though. Guess I'll just switch them out with my mood!
Cheers!
