 Hello to all,

New member from Virginia here....I'm a married guy, with one daughter, and I'm an avid bowhunter. I also hunt whitetails with firearms some. I'm a professional land surveyor by trade, and have lived here in southern Virginia all my life. In addition to running my surveying firm, and my addiction to bowhunting whitetails, I coach my daughter's fastpitch softball team. I also enjoy reading in my spare time, and will pick up a book on just about any subject and start reading..

I own a Dan Wesson .357 model 15-2VH with 6" and 8" barrels (purchased somewhere around 1986-1987), and it looks pretty close to the same as it did when I bought it. This was my first handgun purchase, and I've managed to take good care of it through the years. I don't shoot it nearly as much as I should, but it is a great shooting gun, and easily the most accurate I have shot. I'm gonna try to hunt down a 4"VH barrel for it, so it will be more suitable for carrying everyday.

Hoping to meet some fellow DW owners, and tap in on some of the knowledge being passed around. Glad to be here.

Welcome from PA!  There are quite a few DWF members from VA including our founder, Jody.  I'm sure you will enjoy reading these forums and may even end up owning a few more Dan's before you're done.  dwas You will likely meet some of your fellow forum members through the course of time.

Thank you for stopping in and introducing yourself!

BTW we like cool-pics so post some if you have time.

And if you don't...please let me know how you did it...  there's always room for one more Dan.

Welcome to DWF, and thanks for the introduction.

And I so rarely get to do this anymore

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
