Hello members. I am a new member who just got gifted his first Dan Wesson revolver and am in the process of learning about this new addition to the family. I think what I have is a model 15-2, as it’s got the adjustable sight and what I am assuming is the “pork chop” barrel. It is stamped, 357 mag. CTG, (small frame?), and was manufactured in Monson, Mass., with the first three #’s of the serial being 131,XXX. rnIt looks like I will have to buy the wrench and gauge in order to disassemble and reassemble and am wondering if YouTube is the place to go to learn how to do this. Any information and insights would be much appreciated. rn
John, you have a 15-2, not a porkchop. The porkchop refers to the shape of the flange on the shroud that makes the shroud look like a porkchop bone. They were made up to serial number 50,000, when the more attractive 15-2 was released. Circa 1974. Your gun was made probably in 1976 or 77.

Welcome. I haven't looked on Youtube for a DW video but this thread will get you going.

Welcome! I too am brand new to the forum and Dan Wesson revolvers. And I need the barrel wrench as well! You can get them at EWK arms but unfortunately for me they don’t ship anything to Canada.
