Just joined to the forum last week. I retired as a USAF fighter pilot in 2000 flying mostly A-10s and F-16s. After 29 years of military service, started a second career as an airline pilot from which I retire in 152 days but who is counting? I enjoy hunting, gun collecting, and all things second amendment! I recently purchased a 7445 Supermag with 10 inch barrel and also own a DW .44 mag with 4 barrels. I've read several threads but am very curious if anyone knows anything about how many IMHSA special order Supermags were produced? When and for how long, etc? Mine is number 16. I love shooting my hand cannons, and have officially been bit by the Supermag bug! Thanks for letting me join, learning lots fast!
Greg
PS: the A-10's 30mm GAU-8 can, now that there is a SUPER Supermag!

Waaay cool avatar, Greg. Welcome to the DWF...there are several members from central PA I think.
I've asked similar questions in my time here and found the members willing to share informed opinions...but because of the ever changing manufacture and ownership - facts are scarce.

Welcome to DWF, and thank you for Serving. One of our very longest term Members is/has been very active in IHMSA. Actually, his DWF identity is "IHMSA 80x80" (pretty subtle, eh?) and he will have more background on the IHMSA numbered guns. My understanding is that IHMSA members were able to order guns serialized to their IHMSA Member number (I think?) Maybe send him a Personal Message?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome from the northern end of York County! We're almost neighbors!
Thanks for your service to this great country.
I have a friend who is also retired AF and also an F 16 driver Col. Jim Mark.
Welcome to the place for all things Dan Wesson. If you plan to shoot that 445 very much, being a reloader is helpful or having a friend who loads is a big plus. You can load the 445 cartridge with 44 mag dies and it uses the same bullets as well. If you have brass, this really makes these rounds very economical.
Just curious, how was the transition from F 16 to airliner cockpit for you? I'd image there are a few differences :.
Will you be in town for the York Gunshow at the fair grounds this weekend? I'm planning to take my youngest daughter to pick out a nice holster/purse for her soon to arrive CCW permit.
