Hey, I am new here stumbled onto this site, and I’m seeing a lot of things I like and am interested in.
We have all been trapped here too. DW Revolvers are addictive. They are the thinking man's revolver. If you are a S&W fancier you probably just like to point and shoot. If it isn't right you send it back to the factory or take it to a gunsmith with a bad attitude. Dans are designed to not need gunsmith for most things. They are basically modular with drop in parts and because of the interchangable barrels with tension on both ends they are the most accurate production revolvers made(with possibly a few extremely high priced exceptions.). There are other reasons for their accuracy too. The steel is superb and a Dan will outlast almost any other revolver (except maybe Manurhin.).
The biggest problem with them is Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome. The uncontrollable desire to buy more of them.
Setting and maintaining the cylinder barrel gap is what makes them the thinking man's gun.
