My DW 15-2 vented heavy .357 with an 8" barrel is my only revolver and probably my most accurate handgun. I Have stored my DW for a few years & now that I have renewed my interest I remember that the Cylinder stop on the side plate fell off prior to going into storage. I am reluctant to use my DW with the stop missing as the side plate will become scratched. My question is where and how can I get the stop replaced or is this a simple doityourself fix. I'm a retiree from Michigan living in Florida for 7 years now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are many posts explaining how to find and fix the stop. I would post a link if I knew how. I am fairly technologically incompetent and just use my Android phone for the forum, eBay, gunbroker, Drudge, etc. Still, that is a long way from the Neolithic era I was in when I started collecting firearms. DWAS has had a huge effect on my life. I am sure one of our stalwart members will post a link. We have many members in Florida. Where are you located. I live in Ocala and if you are near I will put the stop in for you. I have several extra. Perhaps you are in the Villages? Lots of folks moving there. I prefer the unincorporated areas myself. No neighbors is the best neighbors. Facing the west I have no roads or houses for 1.3 miles. That is the law in Florida. You can't shoot over a dwelling or across a road. And no City or County can pass a law more restrictive then the state law.

Ole Dog
thanks for responding I might take you up on your generous offer but I can't do anything till after the first of the year as we are way too busy with family and such right now. I live in Sun City Center about 120 miles south of you. A nice drive
I'll try to get back to you in a few weeks if that's ok
