Hello. I'm pleased to have found the forum here. I was searching the web for Dan Wesson revolver information.

I have 2 Dan Wessons which were my dads. One is a .22 lr with 6 in. vented barrel and adjustable rear sight. s/n is 2631x and was bought new around 1979 in Colorado. The other DW is what I believe is a 15-2 .357. I bought it new around 1980 as a gift for the old man. It came with a 6 in. non-vented barrel and fixed rear sight. s/n is 25349x. I have a 2.5 in. and a 4 in. barrel for the .357 and various grips and holsters, and occasionally strap it on as my daily ccw.

I look forward to being a member here and hope to learn as much as possible about the Dan Wesson revolvers.

The fixed rear sight & 6-digit serial number tells me it's a 14-2 model, the 15-2's have adjustable rear sights. Yours should look similar to this one…

That's really cool that you got your dad's DW's, it adds a lot of sentimental value.Smile We'd love to see someCool Pics of yours, if you have some.Laugh

Welcome to DWF, I'm going to add your serial numbers to our Serial Number Registry, thanks for the info.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
