I have had a Dan Wesson Valor going on a year now and couldn't have been happier with it... So naturally when I went to the LGS and saw a DW 744VH-8C (a guess from the posts I've read) I couldn't resist. I figured it was high time I join the forum since these are now my favorite pistols. Here are a couple pics of the boys!

Verrry nice!!! A Palmer 8" VH compensated 744. You must be very proud. A 4" comp would be the bomb. You can order them from Dan Wesson /CZ.
I am indeed very proud!

Welcome and seems you started big!
Yes I did. Here in MO we have an "Alternative Methods" deer season, and have decided to transition from using a black powder rifle to this! I am considering picking up an 8" or 10" EWK barrel and getting it drilled/tapped for a scope and leaving the original assembly unhampered. although at the moment all they have available is blued and am a bit concerned about having a blued shroud rubbing off against a stainless frame, any thoughts? Am I just being over cautious?
