Just saying Hi ...
Have owned my 2002 PTE-S for about 5 years, purchased from a friend who needed to part with it. My 1st 1911 pattern. Box stock. Kind of stayed in the back of the gun cabinet for a while. When I first shot it, I said to myself, "Hello Darlin." Has become my favorite pistol to shoot.
Recently purchased my 2nd 1911, a new Colt MkIV Series 70 Gvmt Model in SS. Kind of wanted a GI pattern pistol. But man, the PTE-S is so much nicer to shoot. Now I'm waiting for a retro ignition (TR sear) set from Harrison to install into the Colt. Not so much to make it just like the Patriot, but to at least get the trigger pull that isn't so god awful.
Cheers,
- Andrew
