I bought this old model 15 in the late 1980s. Paid $125 for it with box and police holster.
It was a police turn-in through a local FFL. 4 digit serial number. pork chop barrel.
Came with original box and papers and an extra 4 inch barrel. It started spitting, so I took it to over to Monson on my lunch break and they replaced all the internals, fitted a new hand, test fired and brought it back to me. I was waiting in the lobby and reading gun magazines for about 20 minutes. It was an old schoolhouse; funny that now you can't have guns in schools. I still have the original parts. The smith was a really good guy.
Learned to reload and shot the heck out of this old revolver over the years. Still shoots great.

I live close enough to Monson that I have driven past the "schoolhouse" location a few times, as well as the old Palmer site.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
