I'm in Houston, TX.
I bought a new Model 15 8VH back in the early 80's. A great gun, but a bit too heavy for me for long range sessions shooting offhand. I sold it.
I was out of shooting for a number of years, but now I'm back. Kids are grown and the wife is back in school so I have too much time on my hands. I managed to find an excellent condition Model 15 with the plain old light barrel and no vent rib at a reasonable price. Well, more reasonable than the very few I've seen. I've only taken it out once, but so far, so good. Trigger pull is a bit heavy, and I'm out of adjustment on the rear sight so I'll need to replace the front blade.
I came here to reacquaint myself with dis-assembly. I don't remember some of the finer points. I'll be surfing around the forum, reacquainting myself with these great revolvers.

Welcome to DWF, here are the "finer points" you're looking for:

Just a good internal clean up and maybe some new springs and you should be Good To Go.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
